    This is a beautiful, long sandy beach with dunes along the river and plenty of rocks to explore between the campground and Point Hicks Lighthouse. This beach is remote and not patrolled.

    Several camp sites and part of the road are currently (April 2016) flooded. There is about 40 to 50 cm of water covering about 50 meters of road. I assume the estuary is closed at the mouth and the river water is backing up and flooding the low lying camp sites and the road. The beaches are beautiful and deserted. Be warned....you cannot drive to the lighthouse. You have to park and walk about 2 kilometers. Well worth the effort!!

    National park. Drop toilet. No dogs. Excellent camping.
